Helena Lang (nee Jaworski)

I’ve been Editor-in-Chief of Sainsbury’s magazine for the last eight years, overseeing the magazine, the website, social channels and other brand platforms. My job involves coming up with lots of ideas, managing a large team, meeting budgets and targets and being bossy….something that those who remember me won’t be surprised at. I’ve had a really interesting career firstly in public relations, then as a journalist on various women’s glossy magazines and as an editor. I get to travel – a lot – and have seen some wonderful places including Australia, Arizona, Alaska and many more, and I get the great opportunity to eat a lot of very delicious food. I’ve been married to Simon for over 30 years, we live in Woodford Green and we have a beautiful 21-year old daughter Jessica who has just graduated from King’s College in London and is just starting a career in marketing. Boarders from my era might also remember my Dad, Dr Jaworski who was the school doctor. I’m pleased to report he has just celebrated his 82nd birthday and lives with my Mum in a cottage in Codicote.
