Iris Lawlor (nee Hopkins)

On Saturday 2nd April our special family chain was broken as sadly Iris, adored wife of Patrick and very deeply loved mother of Helen Muirhead passed away in Lister Hospital. Iris was the only sister to Doug (recently deceased) and Keith Hopkins.

Iris was a St. Francis' pupil from 1933 when the College was founded and she stayed until 1943. Her daughter Helen also attended St. Francis' College in the 1960s.

In June 2014 Iris was the star of the SFOGA Vintage Tea Party. It was one of the happiest days for Iris, returning to her former school.

Her funeral will be held at 11am on Wednesday 27th April at St Hugh of Lincoln Church, Letchworth followed by a cremation at Harwood Park at 12.30pm.
